UNA CELMA has more than 25 years of experience as a film director and producer. One of the most experienced female filmmakers in the Baltics, she has produced and directed more than 10 documentaries, 5 feature-length fiction films, many of which have won awards at some of the most renowned film festivals in the world. She is the CEO of Fenixfilm, a film production company based in Riga, Latvia. Many of the works she chooses to direct and produce include prominent female characters and deal with women's issues both in the Eastern European and global context. Her documentary credits as a producer include Egg Lady, My Family Tree, Women and the Guards, Month of the Witches, One Ticket Please and several other films.
