Sarita West established Alchemy Films in San Francisco in 1994 and wrote, directed and produced 35mm short films and 'The Disenchanted Forest' (2002) for National Geographic Channels. Sarita co-produced Taggart Siegel's PBS documentary, 'The Split Horn' (2002) and many smaller productions. After relocating Alchemy Films to London, Sarita produced, directed and edited documentaries 'Fire Burn Babylon' (2010), 'Exiles and Outlaws'(2014), 'In The Shadow of Ebola' (2015) for PBS and 'The Land Beneath Our Feet'(2017) and produced films for Barts N.H.S. Trust. In 2021 Sarita developed ‘Power As Pathology’, which won the Sunnyside documentary Pitch 2022. Sarita is currently in post-production on ‘Outspoken’, a social justice rap documentary and NYU-funded documentary, ‘Mbeubeuss’.
