Born in Landau in 1970, Nicola Graef completed her studies in German literature, dramatics and philosophy in Munich and Paris, followed by an MA in dramatics in London. After graduating she started working as a journalist for several German broadcasting stations first in London and later on in Germany. She is a co-founder of Lona Media, a Hamburg-based production company.
