Katharina Rabl was born in Austria and studied German literature and linguistics at the University of Vienna. Since 2016 she’s been studying documentary film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich. In 2020, she won the German Film Critics Award and the Tenk award at Visions du Réel with co-director Rebecca Zehr for their joint short film „Dead Sea Dying“. In 2022 she joined the production company Mischief Films and works both as a freelance director and in the production department.
