Joanna Kaczmarek- Enrolled in theatre studied at the Drama School in Warsaw. A graduate of directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Department of the Silesia University in Katowice. In 1999 she received the K. Kieslowski Award for a short film script, which she used to make her first film, Egzamin. She works as script author and director of documentaries and short feature films: Men Prefer Blondes (2003), Retro (2003), Don’t know (2004), 483 km (2005), Wild Beach (2006; co-directed with Barbara Białowąs), 20 sacks then break (2006). She received Polish Ministry of Culture Scolarship for filmmekers.
