Jan Hubáček graduated in film directing and screenwriting at Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomáš Baťa University in Zlín. He also studied at Baltic Film, Media and Arts School in Tallinn and worked at Stink, London. He has won several awards for his student short films The Shoes and Romance of Noble Age. He gained experience with videogames on the projects Czechoslovakia 38-89 and Mafia 3 and honed his skills in workshops: IDFAcademy, East-West Talent lab, ACE Training days, Emerging Producers, etc. In 2015, he founded the production company GNOMON, a member of the Czech Audiovisual Producers Association.
