Ieva Balsiunaite is an award-winning journalist and documentary creator based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Her past projects include a documentary film The Snowball Rolled South (2018), which explores the lives of Litvak Holocaust survivors in South Africa. Other notable projects include radio documentaries produced in Ukraine (2022) about the everyday lives during Russia’s invasion and women in the military. In 2022, Ieva’s radio feature about exiled Belarusian activists won 1st place at the prestigious Prix Bohemia Radio festival in the Czech Republic. She is currently the foreign news editor, special reporter and talk show host at the Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) where she continues multi-format work focused on human rights, collective memory, and sociopolitical issues.
