After a spell in the US and graduating from Birmingham University with a broken elbow and a degree in English Literature, Liz’s fascination with storytelling channelled itself with directing documentary films such as The Lost Children of Berlin for Steven Spielberg (Ed Murrow Award); No Place Like Home (BBC); Dangerous Love (BBC) and Five Steps to Tyranny (BBC). Liz moved into commissioning for the Discovery Channel, with hits such as Ed Stafford Naked and Marooned, The Great White Silence in association with the BFI and You Have Been Warned. She also was thrilled to run Documentary Campus Masterschool 2015. Liz also loves being on the WFTV Board and the BAFTA TV and BAFTA Learning & New Talent Committees.
