Born in 1969 in Katowice. Graduate in Polish from Silesia University, Katowice in 1993, and in Film Directing from the Kieslowski Film School, Katowice, in 1996. She is a playwright, and her Koncert zyczen (Concert of Wishes) was televised on Television Theatre (TVP) in 2008. She works for the Stanisław Wyspianski Silesian Theatre, Katowice. She makes documentaries, including Marzenia i smierc (Dreams and Death), 1998, Sztuka dyrygowania (The Art of Conducting), 2000, Podroz [nie calkiem] sentymentalna (A [not entirely] Sentimental Journey), 2003 and Deyna, 2003. In 2007, she made Latawce (Kites) which tells the story of a film course run by a Polish director at the Art School in Kabul, Afghanistan. In addition to other awards and international screenings, Kites received the Critic's Week Award at the 2008 Locarno IFF and the Silver Award at the 2010 Anasy Documentary Awards.
