Barbara Bouillon, born in 1973 in Bonn (Germany) is a commissioning editor working for the documentary slot THEMA at ARTE GEIE, Strasbourg (France). After her studies of slavistics in Berlin and Moscow she joined ARD-TV-station Ostdeutscher Rundfunk Brandenburg and worked for their German-Polish TV program, news and culture-talkshow. 2007 she joined the ARD office for Austria and South Eastern Europe in Vienna. 2012 commissioning editor at SRF Zurich. Since 2013 production of documentaries (investigation and geopolitics) at Arte Strasbourg : „Italy – Vox populi, vox dei“ (2018), „Wahlkampf der Wutbürger“ (2019), „Crash – Nach der Krise ist vor der Krise (2019). Russland - Geknebelte Freiheit (2022). Bouillon is fluent in Polish and Russian.
