Ayse Poffet holds an M.A. in English Literature and Linguistics, Neurophysiology and Social Psychology from the University of Zurich. Since 2006 is her function at First Hand Films Head of Finances. Besides financial matters, she also manages sales and evaluates projects at various events. Every year Ayse attends different festivals, events and markets, e.g., Hot Docs, Prague, Warsaw, Leipzig, Krakow, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, Pusan International Film Festival, Jihlava and IDFA. She has been on panels, consulted producers and given talks in different places. At IDFA Academy, she has consulted young producers on international distribution.
