Aleksandr is Karelian film director, who was born in the North of Russia. He moved to Moscow in 2002 and in 2012 graduated Moscow Film School with a short film “FIVE STEPS OF BUTOH”. The film got the Grand Prix, Best Documentary and Best Cinematography awards at Telemania 2012 and went to festivals in Europe. In 2013 he started documentary filmmaking master program DocNomads. His graduation film “CALL ME CHAOS”. The film went to Visions Du Reel in 2016 for it's premiere. Aside of his study, Aleksandr was developing and producing his two feature films. A creative documentary “FORBIDDEN TANGO” about LGBTQ dance movement in Russia, and an observational film “BARE” about nude dancers in a performance of the well-known Belgian choreographer Theirry Smits.
