Adrianna Quena is a gardener, film programmer and filmmaker born in Caracas and based in Barcelona. She studied Language Arts and Documentary Filmmaking between Venezuela, Denmark and Spain and since then she explores ecopolitical subjects such as post-extractivism, climate justice and political agroecology. Besides joining Pravo Ljudski as the programmer of this 16th edition, she co-programs the Muestra CineKm0 in Barcelona, teaches as an Associated Professor at the Escola Catalana de Cinematografía (ESCAC), and is a member of the artistic ecofeminist research group La Cuina at the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA). She is currently carrying out her first long feature fiction hybrid film, Koita Minaka (Invisible Scream) and writing Metabolism, a collective speculative reflection on the ecological digestion of the upcoming capitalist collapse.
